Privacy Policy — Italiano in 30

At Italiano in 30 we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains, clearly, what data we process and how.

What data we process and how

• Your name: stored only on your device (for the greeting and your diploma). It is never uploaded to any server.
• Your progress (lessons, streak, statistics): stored on your device. It is only copied to the cloud (Firebase) if you give your consent, to sync across your devices.
• Microphone: the audio from pronunciation exercises is processed on your own device (offline engine). It is not recorded, not stored and not sent to any server.
• League (optional): if you join the leaderboard, a nickname and your score are stored.
• Usage and error statistics: only if you give your consent, anonymous usage statistics (which features you use, to improve the app) and technical crash reports are sent. We use PostHog and Sentry (servers in the European Union). No personal information and no cross-app tracking. Statistics include the approximate country derived from your connection (never your precise location).
• Purchases: handled by Google Play / Apple. We never see or store your card details.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, we do not track you across apps and we do not use facial recognition.

Third parties

We use Google services (Google Play for payments; Firebase for syncing and the league, both optional), an anonymous usage-statistics service (PostHog, servers in the EU) and an error-reporting service (Sentry, servers in the EU). Statistics and reports are only sent if you give your consent. Each service processes data according to its own privacy policy. If you enable Sign in with Apple (optional), we only receive an authentication token — never your name or email.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can access your data and delete it completely from Settings → Delete my data inside the app. For any query, write to us at: italianoin30@gmail.com.

Minors

The app is not intended for children under 14.
